Longreach Regional Council is presenting Australia Day Awards in each of the former shires of Longreach, Ilfracombe and Isisford. Council invites all residents and visitors to attend the Australia Day Awards celebrations on 26th January, 2009.

The Iflracombe Australia Day celebrations will be held at the Iflracombe Recreation Centre with back yard cricket beginning at 3pm. Other activities include: a lolly-drop, face painting and tatooo parlour, best dressed go-kart competition, disco, chipping competition and a baby show at 5pm.

Refreshements will be available throughout the day and a BBQ from 6.30pm.

The Australia Day Awards presentations begin at 7.30pm.
