Romani Hall

Romani Hall Memorial, a place where you can look back to the past and learn valuable lessons for the future. Ilfracombe farewelled many young men, a number of whom enlisted at Wellshot Station.

Ilfracombe’s Honour Roll and the Wellshot Station Enlistment Roll proudly command pride of place in the Hall. Also on display is an ever increasing, authentic and rare collection of photographs and memorabilia from the Australian Light Horse.  The audio-commentary and films enhance our knowledge and understanding of the real history surrounding this paragon of Australian pride.

Opened in 1999 by the 2/14th Ilfracombe Light Horse Troop, Romani Hall is situated on Torrs Road (just over the railway crossing, first turn left), and is open 7am to 4pm Monday to Friday from April through to October, or at other times by arrangement. Entry is free, but a small donation would be appreciated.
